Count Down...and Pray for Dry Days

As the day draws nearer and nearer for the Make Your Mark community painting day, I find myself looking at the sky...a lot!  I watch the weather much more than usual, and I hear myself saying things like, "well, as long as it's not a torrential downpour."  Needless to say, a dry, warm, sunny day is preferred, but I also know how Mother Nature can be in St. Louis in the early months of summer.  So, I'll keep my eyes to the sky and my thoughts positive.  No rain, please!

The Countdown Has Begun

In February, the leadership team started back up again to work towards our June 4 Community Painting Day!  The wall team has been tracing and numbering and choosing colors, while the event team has been organizing and site planning and sharing information.  We want to spread the word.  Come and join us on June 4 to paint a 550-foot flood wall.  Know someone who wants to help paint or volunteer?  Call Chesterfield Arts!

Design Unveiling and Open House

We are so excited to unveil the mural design tonight to our community leaders, parents and sponsors!  We'll post pictures soon!

Open House - October 7

If you haven't already heard, our community mural painting day has been rescheduled for spring 2011.  The date will be determined very soon.  However, we still want to show off all the hard work that's been put in with an open house at Chesterfield Arts on Thursday, October 7 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

This is our chance to thank our community leaders, parents and teachers and to unveil the final design.  Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of something special.

Making It Happen

Our teams are now in place! Design, Marketing, Funding, Event Logistics and Wall Prep...we are looking forward to the great ideas for how to get the word out and how to make this a really great event!
